C&H biomass have recently been awarded the operating contract for the biomass system at this Lincolnshire poultry farm
The 995kW Hoval STU boiler is owned by an ESCO company, runs on pellets and is responsible for heating eight poultry sheds at the site. When the chickens are in the sheds the boiler operates twenty-four hours a day so it is vital that the system operates efficiently and any faults are resolved quickly. The system also includes an LPG system that operates if the biomass boiler goes into fault.
Having installed numerous systems into poultry sites across the UK, the CH biomass team have a good understanding of the pressures that come with operating a site around the clock and their engineers work closely with the farm management team to co-ordinate maintenance around the poultry shed cycle.
Providing a complete boiler management solution, C&H have taken full responsibility for this heating system. The team now deals with all elements of the installation – this includes fuel ordering, ash removal, planned maintenance and a 24-hour call out service for boiler breakdowns.
